Who is “张老师”?
Ms. Zhang/Zhang Lao Shi was born and raised in Chengdu, China. She came to the United States in 2016. In 2020, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Music and Biology from Goucher College, with honors in Music. She is currently studying in the Master of Arts in Teaching program at Goucher College. She is a Mandarin intern teacher at Meade High School in Anne Arundel County in Maryland, and is the teaching assistant of Chinese in Goucher College. She is also the director and conductor of Chinese youth choir and adult choir in Baltimore Chinese School. Outside of her teaching career, Ms. Zhang is a classically trained award-winning mezzo-soprano vocalist. Besides speaking fluently in Mandarin and English, she loves languages. She has passed Japanese Proficiency Test Level 2. She sings Italian, German and French classical songs, and has learned Cantonese, Korean and Arabic.
